My son got a drone for Christmas and immediately got it stuck way up in a pine tree next to some power lines. He was real sad and was sure he'd lost it forever. Well, after determining it could be done safely I went out to the "arrow bucket", rigged up some redneck blunts and went to work with a light recurve. We got it!
Full diclosure... I took at least four shots before the video! If you look close, you can see the white fletching from an earlier attempt dangling beside the drone. In my defense, it was almost straight up, I'm out of practice, and currently sporting a hernia. lol
Thats why it took so many shots he was aiming for the little branch that was holding the drone all along lol.
Actually, I was at first... at least aiming for the bough it was on. I quickly discovered my skills weren't up to that and started aiming right at it, hoping that if i hit it it's light design ( it's made out of a stiff foam ) would let it give way before the arrow as opposed to a drone made out of harder stuff. I got lucky and nailed just the right twig!
