Some of you may remember this thread I made the first week of Nov: http://www.kentuckyhunting.net/forums/showthread.php?122774-Can-anyone-recommend-a-good-therapist

Well this morning I caught up with that deer and put him down for good. It happened quick so there isn't much of a story to tell. Shot him five minutes after legal shooting light following a doe at 30 yards. He has 22 total points total and tons of mass. Not really sure on some of the measurements so I don't know what he will score. My taxidermist came up with 191 3/8 but I just don't know. Killed in Carroll County. BTW - these pics were taken 30 yards behind my dad's house in his back lawn (thus the no orange).

That is one of the most impressive looking bucks I've seen all year, regardless of score. Those pics in the older thread really don't do him justice. Redemption is sweet!! You don't get the chance very often at redemption when it comes to deer hunting, especially on a buck like that. Congrats on a super buck!!!

Thank you. I agree, they shaky cell phone pics don't do him justice at all. The amount of abnormal points and heavy palmation is unreal to me.

Incredible buck. Gun or bow? How did the wound heal? How were the pics in the first thread taken? Awesome deer. Congrats on meeting up with him again.

Thank you. I killed him with a 30-06 Savage. It's the first deer I've killed with a gun in a while. Typically I go bow only, but with the way this season has went, I decided to bring out the rifle. Of course he came out at 32 yards . Don't get me wrong when I say that either because I'm very happy with taking a deer like this with any legal weapon. The wound had alot of scar tissue built up. There was still a small hole roughly the diameter of the arrow shaft. The entry hole was only 1/2in best I could tell and the broadhead did not open when it hit him. I won't name the broadhead company but I'm switching back to slick tricks next season. Regardless I made a poor shot when I shot him with my bow so I'm not making any excuses. I took those pics 30min before shooting him with my bow. When he came out I figured he'd just stay out in the field so I decided to snap a few pics. He was 120yd out and I was taking the pics with my phone so I was kinda shaky.

One final thing. If anyone knows of an official scorer near Middletown (east end of Louisville) please let me know. I'm interested to see what he actually scores. Thanks.
