younger son Jackson fished a few nights on Ky lake in August. Not a good pic but this fish was 23 3/4" long and had a big head, only weighed 4 1/2 lbs. skinny as could be. with it's frame, should have been another couple of pounds heavier. i've never seen one that long or that thin. another night he had a 4 1/4 lb smallie. his two biggest to date. they hammer a big spinner bait at night.

Been hearing/seeing alot about poor bass on KY and Barkley. Lack of shad? On account of the silvers?

our guide friend thinks its because of lack of shad due to the asian carp sucking in all of the plankton. he said there use to be a lot of two different type of shad (threadfin and gizzard) but he said now you hardly see one type (i don' remember which one).

Interesting reads. Saw a old member from here on there. Looks like he got banned there as well.
