If you have to drag your deer out with no atv or you can't just drive up in your truck and pick your deer up? And were talking a big body buck.

I’ve dragged them a long, long way. Most places I hunt aren’t accessible by any kind of vehicle. Now a days I’m quartering if it’s very far

I hunted a mile back this morning with no roads. Quarter and packem out is the way to go.

After dragging one out that I wore all the hair off both hind quarters I invested in a deer hauling cart being made. I would guess it was near 2 miles from the truck.

I have drug several deer 2-3 miles including the first 250 yards straight up a mountain tree to tree. With that said i have not hunted whitetail in DBNF in the last 15 years. Things have become much easier for me. If i hunt deer in EKY in the future id be quartering them for sure.

I have gotten several out with a deer cart about a mile or so. I usually hunt now where I can access one with an ATV.

Don’t drag much now. Didn’t start using a wheeler until 2013 so I’ve drug a few! If I can get em on a flat and get my cheap deer drag on, no problem. Out of the valleys...yuck!

Back in my younger days mile or 2. Once went and helped my cousin drag one about 4 miles. But now older and broken down. Plus having a place of my own and my buddies place to hunt to. Walk about 200 yards. After kill drive up to it pick it up.

I’ve drug several out. Drug one about a 1/2 mile Far as I ever drug one. Rest of them I’ve used four wheeler.

  12. I’ve drug near a mile a couple times. After a few hours of my buddy and I fighting with a buck that dressed 190 one night I finally picked up a sled. Doesn’t help much if you have to drag them up the mountains but if you go down it helps a bunch.

Getting one over a fence by yourself is quite a challenge as well

Once over 2 miles. Quite often over a mile, especially back in my Fort Knox haydays

It didn't matter how far when I was younger. Now I would only use a 2 wheel cart or a sled. Not worth a heart attack. If I have a cart or sled I'd go a mile.
