I built this last fall with (3) 4"x4"x16' posts.. (1) 8" eye bolt .. Electric Reese wench.. Homemade gambrel... A pulley wheel.. Also have a 550lb big game weigh scale.. Cleaned 6 total deer on it last season and man it's a huge help..

Man, I bet that winch is a HUGE help! Any plans to put a light or two on that thing?

ThE winch is real nice.. It's 12v or manual crank either one.. I really like it.. And I have a real nice light that I hang over head but I keep it in the building until needed

You've definitely got it figured out @Mossy_Oak_Mike! I'm so used to just tossing a rope over something or just having a pulley hanging up, I wouldn't know what to do with myself with a setup like yours. :D
    Thanks for sharing!

I'm sure I would. I'm a pretty big guy (about 6'4" 350-ish) so I usually get stuck picking the deer up while somebody else hoists the rope. Goes pretty good usually, at least until I gotta start pushing up on the end of the deer.

Not a problem. Priorities are priorities! I was impressed with your design. Maybe you ought to think about selling these as kits?

    Prayers up for your son.
