A few weeks ago my dad and I took a trip to reelfoot lake. We caught 96 gills in 3 days fishing. 63 in one day! Man it was a blast!

Find any of the crappie they say are there? Have also considered one of their crappie trips but don't know anyone who has been. Thanks

They are there pretty thick. Because the lake is so shallow, they had already moved off beds and are tough to find.

Glad you had some good luck. A friend and myself took my dad back in Spring of 14 and we struggled. Probably brought back about 15-18 total gills and crappie and we fished hard to get that. I saw more water snakes than fish. I’ve heard great things, we just hit it a slow time I guess. It was slow for everyone we talked to.
