I put this gun together a little over 5 years ago and my wife painted for me then. Between dad, my stepson and myself we have hunted with this gun alot and killed 19 birds with it so far. This year after season I decided to redo it and ended painting it my self but I didn't like how it turned out so I decided to clean it off and try to dip it in mossy oak obsession. After a little bit of practice my wife helped me do it and I really like how it turned out. It's not as good as a someone who does alot of hydo diping but I'm happy. The first picis when my wife painted it, second was the paint job I did but didn't like and the 3rd pic is after we dipped it. I still have to clear coat it and get it all put back together. 20170320_171553-1_resized-181x430.jpg 20190505_201233-747x1328.jpg 20190511_230420-747x1328.jpg

That looks great. How much does it cost to do?

I ordered everything and I will have about 180 in it for everything including the clear coat but I have prob have enough stuff to dip another gun. I could have saved some money by getting my local auto paint store to mix my base and clear coat because the shipping on the paint and chemicals is what really costed so much.

I agree. I think I like the second paint job the best.

The third is flawless bc of the dip process but that 2nd pic just looks really cool. Would like to have an AR like that.

I agree with these other guys on the your homemade job. These days im liking the natural gear camo more than the realtree and mossy oak. Also wood furniture with oil rub finishes. It looks perfect tho. As long as your happy with it is all that matters
