Are you selling finished coons, green coons, or carcus coons?

Green and carcus would be the ones I'd sell

You may want to look at the price coons are bringing before you pack them out.

It don't bother me packing them out just thought of something that would atleast give them some use other than getting thrown in the river the next day

    Not here anymore
I saw a fur report that basically said unless the coon is perfect there is no market for it. As I remember the report it said shot/dogged hides were not saleable at any price, and trapped hides were only good if they were heavy jumbos with no damage at all. I also seem to remember that the markets are sitting on close to a million hides from past seasons with no interest from international buyers.

yep, not hardly worth bribing them out of the woods. i trap them now just for farmers that want them thinned out,

My daughter is trying to start her own fur business right now and is primarily looking at buying these "imperfect" hides that the fur sales say are worthless to use for projects. We are in Northern KY so we aren't exactly close to you, but we are looking for green hides that are fleshed and stretched or salted. No carcasses or frozen hides. If any of yall are interested in working with her on this, find her on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/RottenFriendsKY/ Hopefully it'd make use of what otherwise would go to waste, put a bit of cash back in your pocket, and help her get going!
