Anyone have one of the 80L or 160L dehydrators? In looking for something better than the small ones. I can get them at a good price so that’s one reason I’m looking at these.

I've had the 80L for about 4 years now. I love everything about it. Timer and temp settings are awesome after being used to the little round dehydrators. Tons of racks and the interior light is a nice touch

How many pounds does it hold? Not sure if the 160 would be too much?

Not sure but I've never once filled all the trays in it, and I've put at least 2 whole sliced hams in it. I can't imagine the 160 being necessary for anything other than commercial maybe. That 160 should be a beast. They are heavy though. My 80 is a handful to move alone

I have 2 of the 120L. One for 5 seasons and the other for 4 seasons. I used to process deer for others and could fit an entire 3.5 yr old buck in one.

The 160 looks awesome. I have a SS weston that i like pretty well but its not nearly as nice as that 160. I got tired of the cheap plastic ones.

CAD6C305-5BCC-4B56-AC31-F795BB936E56.jpeg I decided to go with the 80L. I really like the looks of it. I hope to test it out in the next few weeks.

Did you ever get around to testing that thing? After my wife took ours to Goodwill I have now found myself in the market for one and will use it exclusively for jerky. Let us know how it did.

Yeah it did great. The temp is slow to rise when you load it with cold jerky though. I think next time I’m going to put it the smoker a little while then move it to the dehydrator. It does hold a lot.

My dad has a dehydrator and still prefers to make his jerky in the stove. He does a good job.

These are 299 but my daughter works at Cabelas and gets 45% off so I had her buy one for me.
