Ever try to hunt them?
Cool as heck..........
Awesome Pic! I seen my first one in the flesh this past fall bow hunting in Ohio. Bobcats are protected in Ohio, I wouldn't have shot it anyway, it was a awesome sight to see in the woods.
I am with you. We have watched this one for a couple of years now. Only one live sighting, but several trail cam pics. We have a season here in KY where we can hunt them but I just think they are kind of special even though they may take a game animal from time to time. Coyotes now are a different story. Shoot on sight here.
If they ate coons, possums and skunks Id be with you on that. But unfortunately they eat what I like, so they need controlled. Also from the looks of that belly either really good at killin wabbits or shes carrying a litter.
That is an amazing picture. Reminds me of a story my dad told me when one day he walked into their barn (back in the 30s) and one of his much younger brothers had one cornered under the corn wagon saying, "here kitty, kitty".
Know a guy in KY that trapped 12 on one farm!
Wow that is pretty awesome given that the limit is 5
We are starting to get a measurable population where I live.
I had never seen one until about 10 years ago, now I see a couple a year.
I do not shoot them, they are just too cool.
I watched one eat my Coyote bait in early winter, i was using Night Vision equiptment. I would lip squeak at him and he would look right at me but go on back eating. After he finished, he sat on his butt and washed his face just like a house cat.
