They are up.
August is chicken season.
Right on time. August 3
Is that a Laetiporus cincinnatus?
Well, then again Carl, it could be Cincinnatus. It's growing from tree roots.
I haven't hunted for those for over 30 years. It is about time I tried it again. The last time I cooked one I deep fried it and it didn't have much taste. I probably didn't use enough seasoning. Might be better with something like this"
I’m going with sulphureus as well. It’s been coming back on that oak for several years. Sometimes on the root. Sometimes on the very base of trunk.
Never tried that seasoning Carl. Might have to.
Works good for fish, if you like spicey.
I do. Who carries it?
Cinncinnatus the underside it white. But that one is perfect!
Rural King and Walmart
Was wondering if you folks could tell me if this is what I think it is ? Image is of the same mushroom.
Looks like a "Chicken", Laetiporus Sulpureus of the species.
