Wonder what it could be??
Is it another project?........if so, are you going to provide another tutorial? Hoping so......
It's a bow!! It just hasn't been put together yet.
I entered a drawing for some free colored glass for bow building on a traditional bowsite, AND WON! I chose Dark Brown for the color. This is not the time to build another bow, hunting season is too close! I do that in the off season. But I will slowly piddle along but progress may be delayed.
Now to pick a riser wood from my stash.
With the dark glass I would prefer a lighter wood. The only thing I have is this wormy Marblewood. Probably not the best thing.
But I could splice it to a dark wood like East Indian Rosewood. With a strip of phenolic between for strength.
Got three colors of phenolic.
Used white several times, I think I'll go black on this one.
Here's the layout with the dark brown glass st bottom.
Glue has been applied!
Baking in the hotbox.
Off season already? Haha. I like the dark.
Lol; not off season, just won glass in a drawing, thought I would play around a little. Hunting is on my mind now so this one will be a long time coming!
Well, it looks like I guessed correctly on what was in the box. I anxiously await the progress of this project. ..........and I'm not real sure that it's going to take as long as your thinking. Kind of hard to leave something like that laying around "in progress". Ha!
Yep; good guess, but you may be wrong on the getting it done part. Although I do hope your right. Concentrating on hunting now. Been in the woods this morning clearing an old road. The trees behind my buddy are all gone and there is a road opened.
