Wells Hunting Accessc Area

  1. Saw in the hunting guide where this is in Perry Co.anyone know where or details about it.I looked on the website and didnt find much.thanks in advance

  4. Okay here is what i found.its near vicco not much else is said about it except 5038 ac.go to here http://fw.ky.gov/kfwis/viewable/ViewableWMA.asp and click on over all view of hunting area with google maps.also this was provided by a link that shows up on the map.Wells Hunting Access Area.

    Location & Size: Breathitt, Knott, Perry, Leslie County, 5,038 acres
    Contact To be provided
    Elevation minimum 840 feet, maximum 1880 feet.
    Area Habitat mostly open land: open land 57%, forest 43%, wetland 0%, open water 0%.
    Entrance GPS coordinates: Latitude N 37.20601, Longitude W -83.04215

    Open under statewide regulations for all hunting and trapping
    Includes 17 tracts ranging from 49 acres to 1,278 acres. More than
    3,200 acres of the area is located in Perry County.
    All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) are not permitted.
    Portions open during quota elk hunts to persons who possess the
    appropriate At-Large elk hunting permit.

    Ha, one little section of it is less than 100 feet from my driveway. I haven't been able to find a map of just the Wells areas. I only found this one by downloading the ICG maps and happened to see it in a small corner of the map.
