Just got the camera and go phone sim card and trying to follow the directions on the covert web site and still getting a log in failure. I've got two-three bars of signal on the camera. I even downloaded the 14 day trial to convert mac to pc. Anyone done this that would care to share their secret or just help me out?

More often than not Login fails means the SIM card is not set up correctly

I would not waste anytime on chasingame

Yea, I called ATT and double checked it was unlocked and on the text plan. They confirmed it was......so I am not sure what else to do. I got the 1000 text for 10 month. The plan that is on the card itself was the 10 cent a min though, but the store manager in bowling green acted like they had done this before for game cameras.

If you followed the covert set up video and the camera is showing a signal, I'm betting the SIM card isn't actually unlocked from the phone. I could call AT&T again and tell them to unlock it from the phone.

Yea, two to three bars signal here at home. I got one of the Go phone sim cards and they said all those are unlocked. Besides being on a MAC I followed the video just as was presented. I put the sim card in a phone and ATT was able to send a text to it also. Really frustrating to say the least.

Dont assume the AT&T people know what they're doing. In my experience you have about a 4 in 10 chance of talking to someone who knows what you're trying to do and a 2 in 10 chance of talking to someone who cares.
your account may be right, but not right for the code black

I'm not good at statistics but I think that means you have an 8% chance of being helped

Ok, so I brought the camera to work and it was able to send the pic. So I guess 2-3 bars of signal is not enough for the camera to be able to log in to the network? Here at my work I have 5 bars...I guess I am going to have to invest in one of those signal boosting antennas and hope for a good signal at my hunting spot. Thanks for the replies.

Glad it worked for you but 2-3 bars should be plenty. That's about as good as mine ever gets where I have it at and I get 50-100 pics a day. The SIM card in mine is from a go phone as well and I had to call and tell them to unlock it from the phone before it would work so if you end up getting another one, don't count on it already being unlocked.

I'm sure Pat can elaborate but I would think it would be important as to what type of ATT signal you were getting (ie 4G, 3G, EDGE, edge). I'm not sure which one is needed for the cams to send but I know the type of signal you're getting effects data options for phones/pc's.

I do know that the camera is not 4g capable. I think it is 3g but I'm not 100% on that.

I have 4G at my house as registered on my phone. 2-3 bars on the unit would not send pics. At work, again 4G, with 4-5 bars signal sent with no other modifications? So not sure about the signal issue??

The camera works on 2G It is possible that could be the causing it. We hope to have more booster antennas by weeks end.
