Anyone had any luck with the solar panels on their feeders? Wondering if I should try one...Thanks
I'v had the same battery on my feeder w/ a solar panel fo 5 years now.--Mike
You using 6 or 12 volt Mike?
I'm on the same battery for two years now. 6 volt. I just have to keep the wires duct taped to the barrel. The slightest little gap and they peel the wire and tape off. The squirrels seem to like the wire, too.
At the motor, I use wire ties to snug the wire as close as possible.
Hey Turkey! It's a 6volt Spin-cast motor,timer and solar panel.--Mike
im going on 3 yrs with the same batt.

Very nice set up, and I like the coon cable. I'll try it out and see if it works. Usually a normal battery for me lasts for about 2 month, by that time, I am ready to put more feed back in to the feeder.
