Default Marlin 17V sight-in question

I recently got a Marlin 17V [:D] I put a scope on it and was wondering on what yardage everyone zeros there scope in at. I was thinking either 50 or 100 yards. Any help would be appreciated.

They put a daily limit on everything, but work.

.17 HMR are very flat shooting rounds, I zeroed mine at 50 and its less than 1" low at 100. Mine is a Ruger all weather bolt action.

Sold my .17hmr, ammo too expensive for the preformance. As far as hunting, I don't shoot squirrels at 75 yards, a .22 LR works fine for squirrels. Varmits? .17hmr is not that great on yotes. I only shoot groundhogs for target practice, I like the long shoots 200+ yards, and the .17hmr is just not up for that task. If I want more power, I went back to the .22 mag, cheaper to shoot and just as good as the .17 at ranges of 150yards or less. Just my opinion, I'm not the kind of guy that jumps on the "this is new and expensive it must be better" wagon, but that doesn't mean I don't give things a chance. I tried the .17 and liked it, but its just not a gun for me. This is all just my opinion. I'm sure there are .17 fans out there that will say I'm full of &)**. I respect the .17, it is a good round, but just think there is too much hype over it. I'll stick with my .22LR and .22Mag
