Default Another SKS question

Forgot to ask when posted other question. I see some SKS with a chrome lined barrel and others do not have that feature. Why the difference and is one better than the other?

I prefer a crome lined barrel, whether talking about an SKS or a muzzle loader because they resist corrosion. Both black powder and cheap military ammo are notorious for corrosion.

I'm not up on current affairs of the SKS, but if I were a betting man, I'd say the chrome lined barrels are probably on the Russian gun and the unlined are on the cheaper Chinese jobs. Those Russian guns are a lot better quality than their counterparts.
