Did some spring cleaning around the house yesterday. Today I sent both of my daughters off on a week long mission trip to Southeastern Ohio. Then I went to the gun range where I could pretend I was not going to miss them. It is the 4th year for the oldest and the 1st for my youngest. "Just another day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it". I'm still going to miss them. It's already too quite around here.

A couple of my buddies and I went to grayson and shot 3-D this morning, came home got the riding mower out and mowed half the yard, cleaned out a drainage ditch, and then the wife & I went and got pizza so I have finally settled in from a beautiful day and hope everyone had a great day.

I went to Harrison co. Ind. with a couple friends and shot a round of 3-d up there. We then came home and went fishing in a good pond near my house and I still haven't caught anything yet this year.

Oh, well...It was a nice day and I'm glad I was there to see it!!

I did an Iron Man contest today. Here is how ours goes. This can be modified at any range by adding or deleting parts of the game. It really shows you how out of shape you really are. It also humbles many who are really good at one thing but have never done much of something else. The winner is always some average Joe that ain't great at anything but above average at everything.

Start to finish was.

Centerfire Pistol- 10 rounds slow fire, 10 rounds timed fire, 10 rounds rapid fire.

.22 rifle, 10 rounds 25 yds, off-hand, iron sights with a .22" 10 ring bull.

Centerfire rifle- 100 yds, 5 shots off-hand, 5 shots sitting.

Archery- 5 shots Bullseye, 5 shots 3-d @ unknown distance, woods setting.

Muzzle-Loader- 5 shots small bull @ 25 yds, 5 shots big bull@50. Off hand, iron sights only.(they allowed inlines and the inlines got spanked)

Trap- 25 birds

Skeet- 25 birds

Casting- 5/8 oz plug at rings from 30 - 80 feet.
Talk about a long day.
