Mine was easy.
GSP
German Shorthair Pointers, I own 3 of these dogs. I would rather spend a day in the field running a dog than anything. I've owned about everything from a beagle, lab, black-mouth cur, redbone, walker and bluetick. Heck I even owned a setter once. (I felt sorry for this guy, he couldn't give it away, so I took it)<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm sure Birdman will be on here later telling everyone about what a fine breed GSPs are.

I looked at my gun cabnet and added my age.

A mountain man is a man of honor and upright stature. He helps others in the journey through life.

I got mine from the fact that shot HighCountry bows for 10 years and too because I hunt so HIGH up in a tree, a lineman doesn't think anything about being 30 feet up there in the old oak. GSP, I have owned and hunted with Vizla, GSP, Pointers, English Setters, Gordon Setters, and Labs. I have also been in the show ring with each of those , I showed dogs for 22 years and showed horses for 20 years. I know a good dog and a good horse. Do you have any Huntibird bloodline in your GSP?

Guess I "borrowed" mine from a TNhunter I saw on the bowsite several years back and no one else had it so..... Hope you won't hold against me that I was born in In and raised in northern Oh. If you folks only knew how good it feels to be a Yankee.

I have a 12ga shotgun that's almost a 100 years old that was left to me after my papaw passed away several years ago and the only thing it says on the gun is NitroHunter.
During my childhood papaw would always ask " If something happens to papaw is there anything of mine you would like to have" and I would always say the NitroHunter and a nickname was formed from that and thats what my username is on most forums I visit.

When someone would ask me if I had a muzzleloader, I would tell them that I had a .58 cal. They would then say something to the effect of it being a big SOB, or too big, overkill, etc. I needed a user name for e-mail several years ago and I went through the usual....bowhunter, hunter, buckhunter, pseshooter, etc. Then I got to thinking about my guns......and the rest is history.

Hey Nitrohunter, I have my papaw's old 16 ga. single shot Nitro-Hunter.
Has a 32" barrel on it. A great squirrel getter.

Highbow, my dog has mostly Rawhide, Moesgaard, Greif's and Wildfire linage.
She is out of Muddy Creek kennels in MO.
I bred her with a line out of Rommel.
