I asked the game warden how to overcome not being able to scout. His advice was to get in the woods as daylight was breaking and start looking for sign. At the time, red oaks were dropping acorns. He told me to find a hot area and set up on it (even if I ran deer off doing so). He actually told me that if I saw deer, to run them off and then climb there. His advice was spot on. In two days, my dad, brother and myself saw 20+ deer. My brother and I killed a doe each and dad shot a smaller 10 that he didn't recover.

My point in all that.....I wouldn't skip out on Knox unless you had an awesome spot to hunt the state. Just my two cents (which is usually only worth about 1/2 that)

Good luck with whatever you do
