I am considering buying the wolf 209. I do not know anyone with one. My son held it and seems to like it. I would like to know if any of you have one or have used one and how you like it. Thanks

I helped my cousin sight in his Wolf before the early muzzleloader season. He was using two 777 pellets and a 295gr powerbelt. Three shot groups around 1" @ 100 yds.

Mine shot great and I was getting 1" groups with Jim Shockey's Gold powder and Powerbelt bullets. The powder is awesome, it cleans up with only water and it is non-corrosive.

I just got one as an early b-day present. Unfortunately I have not gotten to do much with it yet. My hubby sighted it in. He had no complaints. He got that one because all the reviews he read said it was basically a really good gun for the money. I've heard that a lot since too.

A great muzzleloader IMO, I bought a Wolf 209 for my first ML and loved it my only complaint was the shorter barrel. I ended up trading it off for a longer barrel TC. I would however recommend this gun to anyone and everyone.

I love mine too. I use 90grains of 777 powder and 250grain shockwave sabots. My holes touch at 100 yds. I have never had any gun that I could shoot that well. BTW I have a 3 x 9 Redhead scope too. I have had mine for 3 years and I love it. I am thinking of buying the nickle wolf also.

My brother in law had one. Loved it until a mishap. Seems as though is breech plug was stuck. Don't know if he used lube when installing it or not. I'm guessing not. Neverhthe less, he use a 3/8" socket to remove it while wrapping it with a rag, and holding it by the "tang/lug" (for lack of better terms) carefully in a vice. Held it by that to keep from accidentally scratching the barrel and prevent it from turning in the vice. When he applied the torque to the ratchet bad things happened. The weld that holds the lug to the barrel broke! The plug stayed stuck. And thus the end of the Wolf. That is unrepairable.
They're good, accurate guns, just a bad idea for breech removal for those who may be tempted to do so
