Im not an insider eather, but it appears (to me)that the fighting is between the bird hunters and dept, and the LKS is now run by a majority of bird hunters and they are ticked off because the dept is using so much of its resourses to promote big game esp. the elk. It also appears the small game faction, have found an ally in the cervid farmers because of their mutial anger towards the dept.
No, Al. I've never looked at the books. That information came after I called my LKS representative after this issue surfaced and that was what I was told.

I think your observations about bird hunters are generally correct. However, I don't necessarily think it's limited to bird hunters. I think people that hunt for waterfowl and small game are also scratching their heads at the amount of energy and resources spent on the elk program.

I'm not sure why people are so fixated on cervid ranchers. How many cervid ranchers are there in the entire state, 50???? With those numbers, I just don't see them determining anything with respect to the LKS. Hell, anybody that thinks Lou isn't fit to serve only has to show up and get elected.

Gwhil - Either shut up or post some proof that I invented some clubs to vote on the xbow issue. I attended the LKS convention as a member of one club and voted accordingly.

Multi - Since we're on to the memories of that pic of Maxcam and other nostalgia, I saw your PM to Sky. I've got to say I've always admired a man that would bully a guy that's 5' 2" and 100 lbs soaking wet. BRAVO!!!

WHY does it matter? What should matter is the fact that they do, and have made their opinions very well know within the LKS.....and it's being ignored..by much of the LKS leadership...THAT matters......

And THAT is the "issue that broke the camel's back" NOT the "other one", and I'd guess everyone knows it......

When the majority of the membership KEEPS letting their wishes and views be made known, with VOTES, and thus Resolutions are passed it's a "good bet" they expect (the membership expects) that to be followed through on...... and NO matter how many times it's asked OR who asks why........there is never any answers given.....THAT is how the membership is being treated........problem?? YOU decide......(everyone

I find that remark about multi offensive. He paid the price for that. You bringing it up should have a price also. As for me shutting up...NO. I said it was my opinion and you pursued that. Isn't there an old lawyer's axiom about accusing the accuser? Change the subject, divert attention, get away from the original subject, and point people in a new direction.

Buck I dont have a problem with the cervid farmers. I have a problem with the potential attitudes that Lou will bring to the table when dealing with the Dept. on behalve of the LKS.
I dont know him personally but he must hate the dept with everything hes got, because of the issues between the cervid farmers and the wildlife dept. I know I would.
I dont have anything against small game hunters. If they try to ramrod their pet projects in, however,it could back fire on them because the majority of sportsmen are not small game hunters.
I think that the majority are big game and fishermen. However all of us need to be represented equally.
Who buys more liscenses?

HUH? DID I RUFFLE SOMEONES FEATHERS? I CANT POST ON HERE
ANYMORE .
