Maybe it is suicide? He may have been worried his family would not receive his life insurance if he committed suicide so he tried to do something to make it look like a murder??? Just a thought.

"All the Dude ever wanted was his rug back" Jeff Lebowski
Remember his feet were touching the ground.
I remember a picture and story about a guy that hung himself in the Philippies. This guy did it in his back yard where nobody could see what was hapening. The tree and rope was so short that he crossed his legs like someone setting on a floor crossed leged. By crossing his legs his body was less than a foot off the ground. He just hung there all night and when found the next day he was stuff as a board.
You would think a nature thing for a body to do would be to try to save itself by doing something like reaching out to the rope or trying to stand up to take the pressure off the rope. But there are some people when they make up their mind to do it can do it.
"A nation that fears it's government is called Tyranny
A government that fears the people is called FREEDOM"
I'm not "missing any of the facts reported", I still don't buy into the "he taped himself up , hung himself with his feet touching the ground" theory
IF he had hung himself, (he died of "asphyxiation" not a broken neck), I would have to believe he (being a teacher) would have been smart enough to measure higher than how tall he was
also HOW do you do this to yourself when your feet are on the ground ? Lean "out" until you lose enough air and pass out or die? I'd guess one would end up leaning back and breathing even if they "thought they really wanted to die", there are much faster/better ways to "off one's self" than that. Also given the area (and some of the folks in that area) it's not the place where most would even consider it, it's much more likely he was killed elsewhere and "staged" as he was found IMHO Pretty hard to tie your hands with duct tape and fix a rope around your own neck IMHO![]()
Though I admit some cancer victims do kill themselves most do not holding out and hoping for a cure in their lifetimes. And lastly WHY write "FED" on your own chest (not so easy to do I imagine)
I still don't buy into this story of suicide, and I'm betting some folks will be bragging about what they did and how they got away with it to their own demise..........![]()

While suicides are not in their right mind to begin with...........I have never heard of anyone going to all the extravagance as this one would surely be! Could have pulled his truck next to the tree, got on the cab, throw the rope around a branch, loop on neck and jump! Deed is done!According to his bio, he beat cancer, got a degree, and had things going his way no signs of being suicidal from what I heard. Anyone else hear anything different? I was leaning toward the junkies and or druggers. With what I have seen on the community forum lately it very well could have been some very radical right wingers that felt their rights were being taken away by the census guy and wanted to try and send a message......I dunno.
This uniform aint' for sale!
maybe he mispelled FRED?
I don't know its all kind of weird.
I could name several people that have hanged themselves without being in the top of a tree. Lots of people hang themselves in their closet at home. You can absolutely die from this method, and many do while trying some autoerotic activity with themselves.
I'n my opinion, this guy offed himself. I think there's much more evidence to prove he did it to himself then there is that he didn't. Obviously, or the authorities wouldn't be coming to that conclusion. After all, if you are that angry at someone to kill them, don't you think there would be a little more violence involved? You'd think they'd beat him pretty good if they were going to kill him, and not kill him in what I would consider to be probably one of the most "humane" methods of murder.
The guy was probably left wing loon that figured he'd pin his cowardly actions on his political nemesis so as not to disgrace himself to his family and peers.![]()
I'm not young enough to know everything.
Again that could be the case, it could just as easily be "setting a trap" , being the FBI IS involved, you can bet they're willing to make an "official announcement" that may or may not be true in order to get to the desired result....Obviously, or the authorities wouldn't be coming to that conclusion
I DO KNOW enough about that section of Clay Co. to be very suspect, FWIW
For example David CarridineYou can absolutely die from this method![]()
Still I doubt he was "out there doing that", as for the "alleged expected violence" there is NO need "for beatings" when you're holding a few guns on one unarmed man, most folks will do exactly as instructed when faced with that situation![]()

Just said on the news that the feds are strongly looking at this being a suicide now. Apparently the guy had a large life insurance policy on himself that would not be payable if he committed suicide.

Unless the policy was under two years old it Would pay even for suicide......also having a "large" policy isn't really an MO for suicide, many folks have large policies but don't off themselves; also that's a great "neck of the woods " to accidentally run off the road and hit a big tree (or something) IMO that would have been more convincing than this is...swerved to miss a deer, an elk or the infamous mountain lion![]()
I dunno what happened, but knowing the area like I do, I'll always be suspicious that there was more going on than we're being told......

I said it before in the other thread. There's much less to this story than you think.
