    Default fred bear trx32

I am looking at one of these at a local shop. Nice price for one ready to shoot. I will be hunting for the first time and would like to know if his is a good bow to start out with. Asking price is $150 but one of the truglow type sights is broken. Is this a good buying price or should I offer less?

    Thanks

The TRX 32 was the Team Real Tree limited edition bow that came out in 2003. They were pretty decent bows with an IBO speed of 308fps. They had a 32in Axle to Axle length hence the name TRX 32. They have a brace height of 7.5in. They sold brand new back then for around $300-$400. If the sight was in good shape I would say that would be a decent deal, but for just the bow which is obviously used I would offer him $100 for it and see what he says. You can put a decent sight on it for around $50, so it's up to you whether or not you want to have a $200 in an almost 7 year old used bow.

OK forget about the Fred Bear bow. One of the guys in the store sold it to someone else even though the Salesperson, I was talking to, put my name on it. Was going back this morning to pick it up. Pissed me off big time. The guy that sold it said oh well there wasn't a name on it when I sold it. I told him he was very mistaken or couldn't read. I was standing right here when the other guy put my mane on it. Enough of that...

I decided to look at the PSE Fire Flite they have.
    Draw lenght 29
    Weight #70 max
    single cam
    brace height 7 1/2
    length bow bow was 37in
set up is ready to shoot
asking $169 but since their bad screw up offered to me for $90.

DO I TAKE IT OR NOT?????????

As noted before I will be new to bow hunting so I hope his is a goo deal. Maybe someone can tell me about how old this bow is.

    THANKS A BUNCH

Hard to say exactly how old that bow is. I don't know when they started making them, but I know they were made as early as 1995 and were available as late as 2006. They were a budget bow when they were new they went for about $250 at cabella's. I think they were decent bows for the money. I also think that finding a bow for less than $100 will be hard to beat. I would jump on that deal if it is in good shape.

You can't go wrong with either one. I think as long as you stay with one of the better known name brands, you will be able to sell it when you get ready to upgrade. Good luck with the new bow. Let us know how it goes.
