    Default Florida Buck....scored in the 170's

    Just got some pics of a Florida buck scoring in the 170's...not sure exactly the score. Killed in Polk County with stick and string. See, we do have a few nice deer roaming around Florida...although not anywhere where I hunt:

    Hope the pictures come out....Sorry they are not bigger...don't know how to change that.

    Nice one. Thats a really big deer for Florida if thats true.

    I've turkey hunted in Polk Co., and I'd bet that's an enclosure deer. Maybe not, but it's twice as big as any other deer I've seen in that county.

    that deer must have migrated south early ,because they don't get that big down there do they?

    The Florida Bucks Registry (which only records deer that are voluntarily submitted for scoring) lists the largest Florida Typical at 168 1/8 and the largest Florida Non Typical at 206.....This goes back to 1982.
    If this deer is submitted it would surpass the existing state record.

    Oh if we only had some of those good Kentucky groceries and soil in our sandy, porous state!!!
