    does anyone know of a place to get ammo? the only ammo i can find is remington 140gr. thanks

    What area you live! Becasue we have a hunting shop around the Fleming co. area i know would give you a better selection! (Sheps Sports World)

    140 gr is the "do everything weight for any 7mm rifle. the Ultra Mag will need a well-constructed solid bullet, but if that's what you have then use it on whatever. You can handload all the way up to 175 gr., but I can't see why.

    I have a 7mm mag and i use 150 grain never had a deer walk form it!

    140 will be OK for deer but it will take out a bunch of meat unless you lay off the shoulder. 150 seems to be better for big deer and does less damage. Depends on the distance you'll be shooting on what one I'd pick. As for ammo, any shop should be able to order what you want. I'd buy it in lots of 100 so that you'll have cases that match to reload.

    If there's a particular load that you want in the Remington Catalog, let me know. I can order in case quantity for you.
