    Default S&W Model 500

I got to shoot the big 50 over the holidays. It was fun and very accurate with a 400g bullet. Wasn't to bad to hold and shoot although I wouldn't reccomend holding this revolver lightly! With a good solid grip on it, you could sure feel the recoil in your hands.

They aren't as bad as shooting a 454 cassull.

It would also make a dandy rifle load.

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but it would be better than a stick.

S&W has a video somewhere where an elaphant was killed w/2 shots from a 500.

If I was gonna use it as a grizzly defense gun I'd be sure and file the front sight off first thing.
