Not to be a jerk Corndoggy, but I can't believe you asked this question on KY hunting forums.........alot of guys probably think that Mykonos and Naxos are laxatives and Santorini is a character on "The Sopranos."
Anybody like a pro painter know how to figure out what color to use if you wanted to recreate the vivid blue you will find in Mykonos, Naxos, and especially Santorini, such as the famous blue domed church? I can't figure it out. There's an English paint company called Annie Sloan that has recreated it but after shipping that stuff is $63 a quart. Obviously would rather just go to Sherwin Williams or Lowes. SW has a "Santorini Blue" but it's more of a dull teal. Benjamin Moore has a "blue dragon" they apparently think is a recreation but I'm not entirely sure it is. You'll find this on doors and window sills everywhere over there.

Yeah I know. Started to name the thread "the gayest post you'll see all day" but figured it would be deleted for being racist or something. I've been asking everybody. Figured sooner or later I'll run into a pro painter or somebody who has a wife that is a designer who might could figure it out or something. Sherwin Williams couldn't even help. I'm painting my garage and want to recreate how everything is painted in the Cyclades. You can see it in the closing scene of the Borne Identity, that scooter rental shop is painted this way.

Can you not match the color with a pantone equivalent?
"Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ape?"
Print a picture of the color
Take it to lowes
They can match it
If I knew the pantone code, sure, I can get pretty close. But that doesn't seem to exist, and all the pictures seem to change shades depending on the lighting. I can take that same famous church dome in Santorini, plug it into Sherwin Williams "chip it" program, and depending on the lighting and angle it can come up with Dazzle, Jacaranda, Danube, Regale, Sapphire... all kinds of crap that's kinda sorta blue.
Ironically, this would be a manly question if I wanted to know how to paint my garage U.K. blue and white. It's "almost" the same.If I do this I'm just going to tell everybody that it's U.K. themed. Will probably seem more sane than saying it was inspired by the old world Oia settlement in Santorini in the Cyclades where they always paint their windows and doors blue to ward off the "evil eye" curse.
