Glad to hear a comment on it. I was wanting to ask about it last week. I can't stand all the ads on IE8. I was debating either Chrome or Firefox. Once you download it, if you don't like it, can you immediately go back to Explorer and uninstall the chrome?

Yes. It will probably be OK if you are just wanting to use it as a browser.

For me it keeps screwing up the other apps I have to support. Everytime someone loads flashplayer it sneaks chrome on there and I have to clean it off. Just a pain in the rear.

FWIW, I like Chrome over Foxfire a little bit. But I like Chrome over IE by factors of 10.

Oh, and while we're hating on programs, Windows 8 is terrible. Avoid it at all costs.

I used it for about 10 minutes and uninstalled it.

a 3 year old computer should not need to be replaced. That problem should be fixable by either using the Windows utilities or by upgrading it.

I'm sure you are right but I don't know how other than to add more RAM and I really don't know how to do that. I have Vista btw....that and IE8 (I think). Somewhere in the back of my mind, I'm hearing you either have Vista or IE8, not both. Like I said, I'm not sure. I'm all ears if you have any suggestions

I let several employees bring in their personal computers to let me look at them and fix any problems if they aren't major and take a lot of my time.
I find that most people have so much junk programs running in the background that it drags them down.

Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and open task manager. If you don't have anything open you should have an average of 55 to 60 processes running. If you have much more than that I would look find out what is not necessary.

You can go to a command line and type "msconfig". Look at the startup tab and the services tab to see what all is running.
