If the Bill passes in november now you can still bring home 1 blue over 35inchs, all the ones under 35 you want or flathead same rules and 1 28ich channel, same rule on the unders. Thats 14 20lbs+ fish a week, per license holder. Big fish are being removed by a lot of people at alarming rates, not only Commerical guys or Paylakers. You can't replace those fish it just a couple of years. According to a Study done by Auburn Universty in 2006 & 07, it takes A Blue Catfish 13years to reach 34inchs a Flathead Catfish 20years in an ideal enviroment. What other fish can you catch with a net, or a box. or a rod and reel, or a trout line, or a noodle, or your hands ??? The catfish is the most pressured fish in Kentucky waters, unregulated. In no way are we trying to offend people. If it passes in november my kids will have a good chance of catching large catfish when there my age.
