I am all for this. There has to be a fine line that still balances both fisheries. I have fished pay lakes, and I got hooked on fishing from pay lakes as a kid. My kids will likely learn to fish in a similar way.

No way I'd support it, it's not needed. Why is it different to you guys to transport a live fish as opposed to filleted ones?

Boys all you are doing is shooting yourself in the foot. What will happen, is that Fish and Wildlife will stat monitoring catfish populations and then you will get limits imposed, size regulations and such. If you want to help start having asian carp tournaments or something productive. Keeping hard working folks from making a living is stupid. What if someone with an opinion just showed up at you workplace and said because I said so you don't have a job today? I guarentee your tournaments are killing as many Big fish as the few commercial fishermen are. Those fishermen were catching the same fish year after year long before your tournaments ever got started. Better point6 that finger back at yourselves before you cut off peoples way of life.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit to see slot/creel limits on cats.

    Noodlers already have limits.

I agree! Paylakes and commercial fishing has KILLED the catfish population in our rivers! There's nothing more heartbreaking than launching your boat and have to watch guys dumping catfish from 6" to 60 pounds in a big metal cattle trough. Then have the same guys drive their boat past where you are anchored to drop their trot lines back in the water. I have nothing against following the laws, but I think it's time to put restrictions on catfish in KY waters.
