Revenge is a dish best served cold.
I think they saw a dog they wanted and kept it, lied about it several times, that much seems pretty obvious. When they got caught in the lie, they may have decided killing it was the easy way out.
Of course they could have released the dog and it actually did get hit and killed afterward.
'But I would rather have it bent and dull and know I had to put it on the grindstone again and hammer it into shape and put a whetstone to it, and know that I had something to write about, than to have it bright and shining and nothing to say, or smooth and well-oiled in the closet, but unused.

Will someone wake me when the Revolution starts, please...............
Certainly either of those could be the case. Unless I get someone to admit to something or the detective gets evidence then I guess I will never really know. If just seems too convenient. What are the chances of it coming together like he told me, then immediately finding the dog on the edge of his property line? It is like he already knew she was dead. Plus I know it had to happen between 10am when I called them and 3pm when he called me to come out. This all certainly makes sense of why Khloe was still warm and a witness has identified a vehicle matching his trucks description in that area between noon and 1pm. It is all just too coincidental. Then you got an old man who is clearly a nut and too many other people have told me that based upon dealings with him. The police officers event said that about him. So this aint the first time. I have another witness who said he told them he was a little too hard on me and also that his mind does not work right all the time..... Ya think! The whole thing is just plain weird and I will never understand it.

Im sure from reading this thread that you may already know this but as I was looking around the web I ran across this on the Kentucky Houndsmen Association.
KRS 258.245- Dogs with rabies vaccination and identification considered personal property—Destruction prohibited.
All dogs that have a valid rabies vaccination and bear identification are hereby declared to be personal property and subjects to larceny. Except as provided in KRS 258.235, it shall be unlawful for any person except a peace officer or animal control officer to destroy, or attempt to destroy, any dog that bears identification.
KRS 258.212- Tampering with or removal of domesticated animal’s identification prohibited-Exceptions-Penalty.
No person other than the owner shall tamper with or remove without permission an identification tag, chip, locator, or electronic tracking device from a domesticated animal of any age, including but not limited to a hound or dog used in the sport of hunting.
Penalties for the above offences range from 60 days to a year in jail. There are exemptions which include dogs declared vicious by the court, dogs attacking humans or dogs wounding livestock. Everyone needs to make themselves aware of these laws so those who break them can be held accountable for destroying a hunting dog.
sorry for your loss, and hope that you get some kind of restitution from this. If what happened that most of us believe happened I'd be more then glad to take a hammer to this guys forehead for you. make me sick to even think of it happening that way.
again sorry for your loss
I talked to the county attorney about something like this a couple weeks ago. As I expected, the chances of getting anything done are slim to none and slim left town. The statutes around horse farms and without someone witnessing the death of Khloe or him admitting to it make it an impossible case. I did find out the worker in question is not legal. Kind of losing hope that any can or will be done. Nothing I can do to bring her back but it really pisses you off knowing people like this can do whatever they want and there is not much that can be done.
