Anyone heard of Quest Haven?
A couple of years ago my dad told me about this hunting show that was showing the biggest deer he'd ever seen and it was in Pennsylvania. I just saw a show about Quest Haven so it must be what he was talking about. I looked it up on line too. I saw a lady kill a 300 inch deer. They are having management hunts for deer that are bigger than anything I've ever killed. Something just doesn't seem right here.

If the deer looks unnaturally big, then it is probably high fence. When I was younger, my dream was to go to Sam's whitetail mountain, but the older I got the more I figured out that thesen crazy monster looking deer is always high fenced.
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedoms than i will ever have. I take that life if i can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw, or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than i bestow.
