Here is the new setup.
We went for a bit this morning and got to do quite a bit of shooting. I am still trying to get better at the hitting, but the shooting is fun...
We wound up with 12.
This dude is about 7-8 inches long. I couldn't believe it when my buddy shot him. It was as big around as a marker.
My friend clipped this carp and the arrow just bounced off. We thought for sure that he had stuck it. I moved down the boat and saw it sitting on the bottom, dead. I stuck it and we saw where he had clipped the top of the head and the arrow was so close to the skin that it didn't stick.
My friend with the big fish of the day.
My first fish of the day was a buffalo. I shot one more of those and then a few gar. My friend outshot me today but I am ready for next time. I changed my ams reel from that old pearson bow to a browning micro adrenalin. It now has forty lbs. draw compared to somewhere around 55-60. That thing was wearing me out. Might deer hunt with it...![]()
