I know the Grouse numbers seem to be falling in most places.
How are they doing in your area?
When was the last time you seen a Grouse?
In Indiana it is estimated that the Grouse numbers have fallen by nearly 80% since 1985.
Didn't Missouri ban all grouse Hunting statewide? I think I have heard this.
The Grouse numbers in some of the midwest states have fallen greatly over the few decades.
Here is the Missouri Grouse closure information.

Grouse have been on a decline for the last several years in Kentucky, and sadly i suspect that trend to continue.
Few and far between where I live, but I normally find enough where I hunt.
Chessies CAN do more than waterfowl!!!
The ruffed grouse IS NOT king!
Havn't seen the first one in Ky this year. One flushed up in front of my pickup in Virginia the other day on a gas well access road near Coeburn, young bird. I'm thinking about trying some spots in VA I have access to now. Good lookin terrain, but of course theres good lookin terrain around here and still no birds.
yeah I got to thinking about that after I made the post. Everythings illegal in Virginia. I wouldn't make it across the state line in my personal truck before I got life in Virginia state prison due to my window tint, dual exhaust, air freshener, dog box that stuck up and impeded my rearward vision or some crap, etc. etc. My local EQT contact has invited me to come over and run beagles with him but I'd have to borrow my dads painfully plain truck just to do that.
