Default hevi-shot is lighter than lead

Hello I just found this out and want people to know the heavier than lead is a marketing tool.Hevi-shot is only heavier than lead in its molten form or by its atomic weight. If you look at 1oz shot counts compairing lead to hevi-shot lead has a lower count thus is heavier. Hevi-shot is about 95 percent as dense as lead about the same as tungsten matrix.I have confirmed this with ballistic products and hevi-shot.com wont even respond to my questions.Just thought i would let people know. Not a huge deal but I am sick of companys making false claims about there products.

Maybe not, but it's a heck of a lot better than steel. I shot it in Canada and absolutely loved it. Good stuff, really smokes those ducks.

Yep...I used 3" #2's last year on geese and got one shot kills, and complete penatration through some big, greasy, birds.

I killed 4 turkeys this year and all dropped and hardly quivered. Shoot what works for. and the Heavy-shot worked for me.

Been seriously contemplating using it for waterfowl. Stared at it for 10 minutes at Uncle Lees today...Walked out of Uncle Lees with a box of Drylok BBs. Just wasn't able to reach deep in my pocket and pull out the change it takes to get those bad boys. I have heard they are devastating! As far as turkey loads, my winchesters do the trick.

ceo, it costs a little more, but it sure puts 'em down. I got so sick of crip ducks with steel or being able to hear the steel bouncing off the geese's feathers. If u hit the bird with hevi, it's going to fall.

I like it too and i have been finding out it is not unifom in sizes and some of the pellet count problems are because the shot is smaller but still dense just less mass per pellet same density

It's no secret that the pellets are not uniform(because their not dropped like lead shot is).
