thanks for posting for me gsp,ill probably get lashed for the picture cause its not a natural habitat pic. i didnt get as many pics as i wanted so ill post again when i get it back with better light

ok heres the details.........i was comfortably in my stand by 1:30,it was a breezy NW wind.i decided not to use any scent,just some SCENT-AWAY spray.anyway i used my PRIMOS hands free buck and doe call and "THE CAN" every 30 min. about 3:45 i heard a crash in behind me so i turned to look and there he was.all i could see was rack and neck.i got a bead on him and dropped the hammer. after i shot there was a doe already ahead of him that started blowin so i dont think he was tempted by my callin.anyway i started down the tree and had to stop several times to tell myself to slow down(remember this is my biggest buck to date) i finally reached the ground and i reloaded,walked down to him and there he was ,i thought finally,a big buck. and a lot of good meat for the freezer too. after passin all the 4,5,and 6 pointers for the last 4 seasons, this one was worth the wait

It took me about 10 years of passing small bucks to take my first "big" buck. That buck will always be a great memory for me. Congradulations and keep letting the small ones go and grow.

ain't it a great feeling to let the little ones walk. raktraker congrats you deserve him !
