This mornings hunt-Peabody

Went to Midway this morning to bow hunt turkeys! Didn't hear any roost talk. Finally got a small group of jakes and probally a gobbler answer me. Purty thick where i was. Tried to manuever into range for a shot after the calling session failed. Got within 15yds(didn't know i was that close until one pucked) and was drawing when a grey squirrell blasted the serenity with an explosive cadence of warning. The turks become quite observing after that and slithered in the other direction. Couldn't get a shot thru the vegetation as they simply walked away from me. Thoughts of a scatter entered my mind, but they had a head start uphill on me and male birds aren't prone to regathering anyway, so i let them walk! I'll be back!

Just got back on-line, had Pc problems. Lookin 4ward 2 tomorrow, but they R callin for rough conditions, high wind, thunderstorms ect! Wish u could make it!
