First you need the following ingredients:
2- LBS of Deer Burger (No Added Fat)
1- 16 oz. jar of Salsa (either mild, medium, or hot)
1- 2.5 oz bag of McCormick's Taco Seasoning
1- Large chopped onion
1- Cup of water
Brown burger in deep skillet, with a little oil added, and then add onion, Salsa, and taco seasoning mix and add one cup of water. let simmer until done. Be careful not to let the mixture burn!
This is a very versatile way to use deer burger in the following manner:
1. Spoon on whole wheat buns for "Slopy Joes".
2. Mixture may be used as Spaghetti Sauce (very good) also good with rice.
3. Spoon on pre-made Pizza crust, add cheese, bake in 400 degree oven untill done, and you have a spicy pizza.
4. Add a can of chili beans and you'll have a very good tasting venison chili!
5. Also makes great Tacos too!
