Will be coming from northern Ky. on 71. Would 264 be the best way to get to the airport? Would that be considered 264 South? Also any road construction or anything else to delay traffic? Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

you can go to Yahoo maps and it will give you exact directions. I'd try to help you, but I live in Lexington. Good luck. Dosen't Louisvile have 2 airports?

Come on in to town and take I-65 South at the bridge. note: you won't go oover the bridge. You'll need to exit off of 65 onto 264 and then take the Airport exit. 5-8 minutes from the brudge to the exit.

Louisville does have two airports, but the smaller one doesn't have xommercial flights out.

Size does matter!

What time of day are you coming? If during rush hour, DO NOT go to I-65, but take I-264 (the Watterson) west. There are signs to the airport at the junction of I-264 and I-71. The exit, by the way, is on the left. Before you get to I-264, you will go by I-265 (the Gene Snyder), WHICH YOU DO NOT WANT TO TAKE.

For my money, it is far easier to just go I-71 to 264. Spaghetti Junction and I-65 south can be absolutely nerve-racking if you aren't familiar with them, and Spaghetti Junction is a nightmare from 7 to 9 in the morning and 4 to 6:30 in the afternoon. Besides, the time difference won't amount to 10 minutes.

Shuyler, the wife will be coming through there about 1:30~ 2 in the afternoon e.s.t. Looks like she can get in and out and beat the rush. She is just dropping off her mother and aunt. I had checked out yahoo and mapquest before I ever asked about this. Those maps don`t always give all the info you are looking for.Still rememeber the fiasco driving to Rockingham a few years back using yahoo directions.Coming back I just winged it and cut off 1.5 hr.on the return trip.Thank you for taking time to post that info!! The wife said to tell all of you nice gentlemen a big thanks from her also!!
