Folks this year I took a leg quarter up to boot leg barbecue (Right of the Gene Snyder on Bardstown road). For 15 bucks they smoked the quarter all night long.
IT IS FREAKING AWESOME
I requested it two ways just smoked and smothered both were great but next time I will get just smoked and put the sauce on myself.
To test how good this was I offered some to my sister who won't eat deer meat just said it was boot leg barbecue. Then I had a lb of it wrapped up for her to take home to her Husband. Well apparently her and the kids ate about half of it before they left the parking lot (her kids never eat anything). 3 hours later her husband told her it was deer. She then called me to have me tell her husband that I had pulled a fast one on him. She just wouldn't believe it was deer.
By the way they usually charge 8 dollars a pound for their barebecue well you do the math but I got back two large trays filled with some of the best barecue I ever ate for 15.00 bucks and a pint of sauce for another 2.50. Once you try it you will be hooked.
