Went yesterday around 9:00 am to bowhunt and called in a nice flock of mixed jakes and hen 23 to be exact. It is one of the biggest I have seen this year. They were feeding in a field of fescue hay nipping at the seeds and bugs. I guess they were content enough feeding than looking for more company. I'll get them this weekend.

The spring was my first real try at hunting them. I am addicted in the worst way I try to read every book I get my hands on about turkey hunting. I simply love it more than Deer.

Gee, does that ever sound familiar! Would rather hunt a Spring gobbler any day than deer. Nothing like having your bones shake from that bird gobbling right on top of you.
