There was a hugh 36 pointer taken on Nov 14th in the northern part of Garrard County. I don't have a lot of info but did see a pic of it.
Supposely a 23 inch inside spread. Looked like a moose to me!

Yes, I heard 35 pointer, but you might be right! I have a copy of the picture and man is it a whopper! No one seems to believe me when I tell it, but I know 110% it is true!

I saw a picture too, from the guys cousin. 24" inside spread and 28" outside. Pretty good mass also. Luck also played a part in the harvest of that buck. Hats off to the man!!!

one of my huntin buddies was driving by the gas station when he noticed about 15 people standing around the bed of a truck. he pulled in and immediately called me on my cell phone. said it was the most impressive buck he has ever seen, alive, dead, in person or in a picture. he just went on and on about it. said it had double main beams on both sides, three or four drop tines (one with several inches broken off) and mass that was out of this world. he is going to try and get me a pic scanned from the store near his house where they have it posted on the wall

Boys, I didn't mean to sway your minds crooked, the picture I have is photocopy from an office copier of the original picture. There is no way it would show up on the computer, it is very dark! But I wish someone would post a pic, it is a real Beaut! By the way, I heard from the guy that helped him skin it that Ben, the guy who killed it, missed the same buck earlier that morning, now you talk about somebody that is livin right!!!!

Thx for the picts kyarcher... I have them posted here http://www.american-hunter.com/monsterbucks/benbroglebuck.htm / my understanding is that this could be a possible new non-typical record for KY... I'll have some more information tonight.

I am not a spectator of nature, but rather a participant; a hunter.

Here is a little more information on this buck. It will be submitted to Buckmasters in the Irregular Category at a score of 244 3/8. If accepted it will become the new Kentucky State Record for rifle in the Irregular Category exclipsing Tim Steele's Hopkins County buck from 2001 that scored 222 inches. The Brogle buck will also be second overall in Kentucky in all weapons categories, trailing only Troy Wilson's velvet buck taken with muzzleloader last year that scored 303 4/8.

The Garrard County buck should net in the 250-260 range on B and C after 60-day drying and should easily surpass the current Kentucky State Record for non-typical on B and C.

All of which goes to prove that the good ole days for trophy deer in Kentucky are now.

Mr. Brogle (sp) killed another nice buck this year. (2006) Very massive, but not like the first one, although with the same genes.
