Just wondering if anyone had any ideas about a simple feeder for turkey. Have had a standing cornfield the past couple of years that they used but don't think it will be that way this fall. Need something that ground squirrels can't get into. Have thought about a platform feeder or a bucket with a strip cut out in it hung from a tree. Would appreciate any ideas.

if you're in KY you need to forget about the feeder. They're illegal if you plan to hunt the property they're on. If you're somewhere that its legal, use a piece of 6 or 8 inch PVC pipe about 5 1/2 foot long with a coffee can on one end as a lid. On the other ond cut about a 30 degree angle. This way when you strap it to a tree, you can stick your boot in the "birdsmouth" and pour in your corn. Pull out your boot and you'll have a cheap feeder, but the squirrels will rob you. There is no such thing as a squirrel proof feeder.
