MY freind there is only a few trappers on this site, I havnt seen but two or three.
This is my second year trapping, and if there is any question that I can answer, I will do so to the best of my ability.
If you want to go to a site with information about trapping and is kid freindly trapperman.com I have learned alot from just reading other posts!!
(registration is free and simple)
If you have a question,POST IT, there are many trappers there that will answer anything you want to know.
This is also a great forum for all topics and I welcome you.
What part are you from?

joebuck,
If you have any legal questions, then let us know. There are a couple Fish and Wildlife officers that check this site from time to time. I'm a trapper as well as an officer, so you'll see me posting my catches later this fall.

Hello warden310, its good to know there is someone in fish & game that traps. Dosen,t matter how long i,ve ben out there. I am always willin to pick up new advice and tips on things. I,d like to start snaring this year and have some q,s on deerstops and legal placement of them om wlma,s. Not sure if i,ll get to use that area this year but you never know. We need more young trappers & hunters, my grandson is 7. Hope to get the chance to take him on the line this year.

Greenapple,
If new to snaring, make sure you buy/make relaxing snares not locking snares. Non-locking snares are the only ones legal in KY. Snareman is the man to ask about techniques, as I mostly use footholds.

Greenapple,
I look forward to talking trapping with you this fall and winter. I do use quite a few snares along with footholds and bodygrippers. I've become very fond of 220's in buckets for coons. You really can't beat them. Snares are easy to pack and easy to set. If you have any snare questions feel free to send them on.
