This was my most successful Hunting Day EVER.
This Coyote & Turkey were taken the same morning.
I had taken my 1st Turkey the previous Saturday, on the back of my farm. Since I had success in that spot, I set up there this morning.
I had my decoys[(1)jake (1)hen] set up about 20yards in front of me. I had my back to a fence which is very grown up with cedars. After a little calling, I started hearing movement in the fence row, to my left. Every time I called, I would hear a little movement. Eventually, a Coyote comes bounding out of the fence row towards the decoys. When they didn't fly away, she kinda paused, then looked my way.... BOOM!!!..... She didn't make it to the decoys.
When i stepped it off, She was 8 paces away.
I then dragged her up the hill to a gravel road, and left her there while I went to get the car. I walked to the edge of a small strip of woods about 50 yards from where I left the Coyote. This strip of woods is at the very top of the hill. As I got to the woods I hear a Turkey fly up on the other side. I move very quickly in that direction, and another Turkey flies up. I get almost to where I thought they came from, and I see a TOM turn and start to run down the other side of the hill. I took aim at the back of his head.... BOOM!!!....He was down for the count.
The time between the two shots was about 45 minutes.
THIS WAS THE BEST HUNTING DAY OF MY LIFE.

There's the "harvesting device", Benelli Nova. Great Shotgun in my opinion.
