They are bigger, faster and stronger than Kentucky's players and prolly all but a few other teams in all of college football.

UK is getting taken behind the woodshed.

Only question is, will it be worse than the rented mule beating they received last year?

31-0 first quarter.... We look like a grade school team compared to them.

Wonder what it would have been like if half the Florida team wasn't puking on the sidelines...

I was thinking the exact same thing, I'd hate to see them healthy, geez

I had high hopes for Ky this year. They are getting better slowly and florida has always been a powerhouse. I firmly believe that SEC football is the hardest conference in the nation.

KY will never be able to compete with the Floridas, Georgias, Alabama, when those teams can recruit better athletes to stand on the sidelines holding a clipboard or helmet than KY can put on the field.

I was really afraid there would only be the bands and cheerleaders left in the stands for the 2nd half.

Embarrassing display. Missed tackles, missed assignments, penalties. I lay this right at the feet of the coaching staff.

They are saying he suffered a concussion from what I can gather. He looked fine on the sidelines after leaving the field.

The hit Taylor Wyndham laid on Tebow was a doozy, but I thought it showed a little bit of low class on several of UK's players to be celebrating the way they did when obviously they could see Tebow was basically uncounsious. There is nothing wrong with celebrating a thunderous hit, but after that hit, you see a person lying motionless on the ground, I don't think that is something to celebrate about the way they did. I am not a fan of Florida but Alabama, so don't bash me, saying I am a homer or anything for Florida...LOL

im sure everyones first reaction after the hit was to check on him. It was arguably one of ky's only nice defensive plays. Tebow is a tough, tough player, nobody in their right mind would think a hit like that would knock im out, including me

EDIT: just heard he has a spinal contusion

It wasn't the tackle, it was the fact that he hit the back of his head on another guy's leg on the way down that hurt him. That was some scary stuff. Also, I don't think the UK players realized he was down and out when they were celebrating.

They were celebrating the snot being beat out of them. They managed to get one hit on the opposing QB and took it to another level.

UK stunk up the joint, they were lucky that half of the Florida team was sick or it could have been worse than last year.

I was there. He was anything but fine on the sidelines. I watched him puke his brains out for 30 minutes before getting carted off...puking most of the way out of there. Tough kid who would have otherwise probably bounced right back up w/o the inadvertent knee to the back of the head.

I didn't see ANY of that. I saw a defense celebrating stopping a team on 3rd down in the red zone. Once it was clear that Tebow wasn't getting up the entire stadium and both teams got quiet. The only argument I had was the officials calling the play dead way early I thought. He did fumble the ball. Although reviewed they didn't see it that way.
...

As for the game UK game out on offense like a deer in the headlights, and once again special teams gave up a TD. Of course the game was in the gutter, but UK's only scoring drive did come against Florida's first team defense.

Pentail I completely agree with your thoughts. Post game press conference Brooks took full responsibility for not having the team ready to play. Comments were made of the being intimidated from the start and they sure acted like it. Penalties absolutely killed the team as well.

However, the real stat of the game was Florida rushing for an incredible 362 yards on 52 attempts!!!

UK is improving, but just doesn't have the talent to compete with the SEC elite yet. Unfortunately, it doesn't get any easy this Saturday when a WAY better defense to comes to town wearing Alabama crimson. I'll be there cheering on the Cats. GO UK!!!

Ah, even if they hadn't of blown the play dead and Kentucky picked up a fumble, they would of probably turned it over before returning it to the endzone.

As for the celebration after the initial hit and Tebow's arms up by his side out of control, I must have been watching a different game. My feelings are they knew he was hurt and they celebrated it. But that is just my opinion.

Another opinion I have is that if Rich Brooks would spend more time coaching instead of throwing temper tantrums on the sidelines like he did last night, UK might have a better record than 1 and 23 against SEC schools.

I was there as well, and Itallushrt is correct.
It was a 3rd down play, they were celebrating stopping them on 3rd down, and the big hit. Once it was apparent that he wasn't getting up, the UK players and fans got very quite.

I'm just gonna say this. As a former Redhound defensive lineman,I know that getting a clean shot at the other teams quarterback on 3rd down and laying some serious punishment on him, is one of the best reasons to celebrate I can think of. I'm glad he's not seriously hurt, you never want to see that, but it is football and you can't blame the CATS for celebrating a great play. I don't think they overdid it at all.

Our coach doesn't throw temper tantrums on the sidelines and his coaching still sucks.

Your opinion is not reality and your feelings are not the facts. It was not apparent he was injured at first, and when we realized it the crowd and players got very quiet.

When he sat up we applauded and when he stood up the crowd stood and applauded.

Nobody celebrated his injury but the stop of their drive and a good sack.

I was on the 2nd row of the 30 yd line behind UKs bench. There was no celebrating on the sidelines either.

Must have been a different game you watched.

Yep, that's the way I saw it as well. The fans were simply cheering a good play, and acted appropriately when they realized that an injury took place.
