I'm planning on hitting it hard tommorrow,[:p] but it sound like it's gonna be a soggy one. I haven't been bowhunting all that long and wanted to know if there are any special concerns I should have as far as hunting in the rain with the bow? You guys with more experience know of anything I should be concerned with as far as equipment and what I should watch for on my bow. How does it effect the string?
Appreciate It! [:D]

Use a string tracker, and spray your feathers with a replellant of some sort or use vanes. Wear Goretex clothing or something quieter than PVC. For a hint, don't get soaked and miss the period when the rains stops. This is when the bucks will be out and about checking and refreshing their scrapes.

Stay away from the maples, sycamores and other slick bark trees, they can be real dangerous with a climbing tree stand when wet. work the scrapes and rublines, bucks will be freshning the scrapes and redepositing scent on the rubs to keep there territories established. If your shootn feathers keep your shots short as your fletchings will lay down at the release of the arrow and arrow flight may suffer. Good luck npsdave!

Thanks guys, just what I was lookin for. I did see a couple of young bucks working scrapes but nothing I wanted to take a shot at. They need a few more years to grow.
Thanks Again,
