KHFH has another event planned for September
Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry, a group created to encourage deer hunting sportsmen and women to harvest deer to donate the venison to the needy, is holding its annual fundraiser on September 25, 2004. This sporting organization has not only provided 136,900 lbs., 68.45 tons of meat, to soup kitchens and pantries in the Commonwealth, but has help to better manage the rapidly expanding deer herd. Studies show that in Kentucky over 10,000 deer could be utilized in this program. That’s 275 tons, which would serve 2.2 million meals each year. In other words Kentucky Hunters For the Hungry venison would then be providing the meat for 6027 needy Kentuckians everyday for a year.

The current obstacle to gaining access to this fantastic resource is funding. This year Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry is working in a partnership with the Fraizer Arms Museum as well as several preservation groups(League of Kentucky Sportsmen, Quail Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, National Wild Turkey Federation, Safari Club International and South East Christian Church) to produce our event with an attendance target of 300 and a goal of raising $50,000 net proceeds to secure the processing of 90,000lbs of venison this fall.
This fall fundraiser will be a gala event with fine foods in the stately atmosphere of the Frazier arms Museum. The event will include an exotic menu, private tours of the museum, Bourbon tasting, an auction and medieval entertainment. The ticket prices are $115.00 individual tickets and $200.00 couple tickets. Corporate Sponsor tables are available for $1,000 each seating eight. The Frazier Arms Museum is giving a free membership with the purchase of any ticket to the event. If you are interested in attending the evening event, on September 25,2004, please contact
