Sorry for the delay, but better late than never.
On July 10, Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry and Safari Club International held the second annual Wild Game Cookoff in Louisville. Fifty teams came from all over Kentucky to have their wild game dishes judged by the public by celebrity judges; Steve & Heather French Henry, Jeneen Wiche, and Tim Farmer. Not only was everyone treated to a beautiful day, samples of great food, the event netted $4,116.00 for Hunters for the Hungry. This money will be used to pay for professional processing of venison donated by hunters. This venison is then distributed to homeless shelters to supplement the food provided by various charities for Kentucky’s hungry people. The winning teams in each category were:
